I had a look around the area today, a lot of shop units being built around there, bars, restaurants and all kind of things, most shops with signs was closed tho. But it may be a sparkling area once the area is finished. May also be a good option for those who look for a shop space, while it used to be difficult to find cheap shops in Patong in the past, now it look more like over supply of space.

A friend of mine, Thai, opened a karaoke shop there for the Burmese people, the only one in Patong, and they do good business. (And Burmese girls available for barfine too) I dont know exactly where tho.

A BM owns the Jonny Anzac place I believe.

well i couldn't care less about a normal BF if a girl wants to skip it...however if a club is taking 5k from a punter up front they are the ones making the "contract" and offering a service....therefore they should refund if the girl "skips it"...they took the money

as i said earlier...collecting the money on behalf of a girl BEFORE she fulfills the "contract" is making a rod for your own back..I don't count a BF as a contract that is for the girl's release from work...up to you and she to make the deal after that

The thing is though i didnt think they would have been fussed if they got too busy or not or if they make big bucks because they obviously can support themselves finacially (and in many other ways) and were using it for for an international meeting ground.... But with prices like that it makes you think its all business no pleasure..

But again like Dlew has said, maybe they want all the girls there with them and not to run off with customers for days and weeks at a time...

I don't think it takes einstein to work out that charging 5000bt for LT is a business model that won't work when your competitors are charging 1500/2000.However if they target japs and koreans it might.I think Rock hard is 4000bt LT? First up there competitors are charging a little more than that here in Patong at the mo, 2500/3K + BF would be closer, more was metioned at Rock Hard I see...
Secondly it wont work if its all about selling hoi, but thats the point, a decent gogo here isn't about selling hoi, hoi sales are a bonus, its about selling drinks, and more so higher priced lady drinks and if your gogo's empty cause all your hot girls are out on there backs you ain't selling drinks, especially those high priced lady drinks, it really isn't that hard to understand surely.....
Some seem to be only looking at it from the selling of hoi point of view, not the selling of marked up alcohol and repeat business....

We anglo-saxons won't pay that price though.

However I do like the concept of charging 1500 entrance fee which includes your drinks.Expanding on that would you go to a bar that was 1500 to get in including drinks and say 6 LD's vouchers for say 2 hours? 3 hours? Original idea? 50 punters a night would be a gross of 75,000 bt. Thoughts...................?


Dont like the idea, was due to go there again on Sat night but was told this and bailed because of this idea, one of us drinks water so well good 1500B worth of pisz would have been for him, even I'm not interested in sitting down and swilling to get my moneys worth, prefer to drink at my own pace, this idea works with the 20 year old set, mindless pisz guzzeling, those days are gone for me and they lost 4 of us all up as customers also.

I don`t blame the BM who paid it,he was ready to go with a little glamour and ended up being the forum guinea pig.
He got himself in too deep in the negotiations at a late seforum.xxxe of the night and was only told about the 5k right at the end and was reluctant to pull out,obviously feeling a little intimidated.

Yes for sure, if the girl completely rips the customer off and does not meet her end of the bargain, we will gladly confront the girl and demand money back. Obviously we would have to discuss circumstances in why this happened, but if the girl is at fault we are on your side. As for the last post of being completely empty we are sorry for this as every business has it's ups and downs, as for having no women, we have 15 dancers who are on salary which will always be in our club + the other staff. We now provide erotic shows every hour beginning at 11pm. The area is upcoming with 31 new bars in the process of construction, which might provide a fuller and funner atmosphere. We have all been here a long time and I think we can all say we get a little bored of bangla. Out plans soon are to stay open till 7 am to provide an after hours club. Not sure what that means about Tai Pan, but XTC has a way to go to be as busy as Tai Pan....but it might one day. Something about the location at once sucks, and in another way might work. I was there recently and though the music quality was really poor, you never know what they can do with the place. Way to many "hangers-on" for the current state, but there was some potential with some cute girls/waitresses. Still, betting money, I'd put it off as a loss unless biker week in April can save it. Biker week at that place could be really rowdy and fun if you like that scene, like an HBO reality show where everything goes so wrong it is right.

Tai Pan originally was a bar beer along the strip opposite saloon bar, Brian owned all the bars up to Extasy. Tai Pan just grew and grew after it was sold it seems.
