Pride events aren't exclusively for queer people -- even if it is a celebration (and roots in protest) for the queer community. If you go to pride events there are a TON of heterosexual girls there. I'm really surprised you'd think you wouldn't find straight men with straight women. The pride events in Toronto are MASSIVE.

I mean, have you been to Pride events? Straight people go for all sorts of reasons. It could be they have queer friends, it could be they just like big city events, it could be that they support the community and want to stand up for human rights. Either way, an absolute huge number of heterosexual people at Pride events. I don't really think you need to be worried about fending off gay guys. It's not a bathhouse.

It's not a great analogy really. The issue is with the premise that all the women there are gay or not interested in men. There aren't typically any cars at a bike show. But, there are thousands of straight women that attend pride events.

Most of my hookups are through work/friends/online rather than approaching strangers at an event. All I can say is that there are thousands of straight men and women who party at Pride. I just think it's funny that you think a SW mentioning Pride as one of the events she attends means she could be Trans Forgot for a second about whether you think you can pick up a woman at Pride -- there are TONS of straight men who party at Pride she can meet (you yourself have gone!).
