What I said in my post only applies to ZN area. I was not speaking for the whole Mexico. Of course if you are looking for trouble in TJ you will surely find plenty of them. But if you follow what guys are saying on this forum then TJ can be a place to find a lot of fun safely. The things I like about TJ is that it's a lot more colorful and vibrant place that's constantly moving with lots of people everywhere unlike the states here. It's what I call living a life. Sure beats the dead lifestyle of most Americans who's life evolves around watching sports, drink beer and driving to work following the same route day after day. Like that line in the movie Collateral, "17 million people in L.A and no one knows their neighbor." Don't let your dick be the only part that reaches out and touch someone. For the most part, latin people are friendly by nature, probably more so than the people in the states. I've seen many 'brothers' in TJ and they all seem to be okay mixing with the crowd and ho's for that matter. I guess you are okay as long as you carry greenback regardless of your race, size, forms, shapes.. And as far as safety in TJ, considering the amount of foot traffic in that small area, I would say it is fairly safe area to roam around. With a battalion size of TJ cops present no locals would dare seek trouble with gringos.

obviously we all have different experiences on this safety issue. i heard many horror stories before i ever stepped on mexican soil so the first time i went i was very worried that something bad would happen.

the only interaction i ever had a with a mex. cop was the time i helped him push his bike because it wouldnt start.

i always try to stick to the main streets and avoid the dark alleys. i've seen a couple of fights on streets but nothing gang related, just some guys blowing steam i guess.
i've had more shit happen to me in L.A. than in TJ.

also, i never go alone, i get lost very easy so i usually go with someone who knows the way. and as the saying goes 'theres safety in numbers'.

last time me and my friend, who is black, went to tj we had no trouble at all. as a matter of fact i was kinda jealous of hte bastard. all the better looking girls wanted to fuck him, i dont know why!!

i also went with another friend who is half white, half chinese, and nothing happened. we all had a good time.

i think the horror stories get blown out of proportion because of course you cant brag to everyone about how many good looking hoes you banged, but if you get your wallet stolen, or get the crap kicked out of you, the story is easier to tell.

I have yet to see a Southsider on Coahuila that is not living day to day. The ones that are doing ok are in the states. I am no expert on the Felix-Arellano family, but they seem to have plenty of hitman and would not need to resort to these punks. I can assure you that those Southsiders, who hang out at and around the Michocana are not hit men, and they will avoid a fight when confronted. They are not scared about fighting, they are afraid of the police. This has been my experience over many years.
