I couldnt agree more, every time I visit Bangkok, Phuket, or pattaya, it really puts me off to see all the backpacker trash raomin about acting as if they own the country and acting like fools with no respect for themselves or thailand. Im not surprised the thai goverment is making it harder for lengthly stays for all foreigners. If I had trash like that comin in to my country Id be put off too !

I do remember Soi Sunset very well had alot of great memories there, thats where I startd my first bar. there was also viena bar and black rino, africa bar,jungle bar,fire house ago-go and the most popular pizza shop.
it felt that the fun and girls were more pure then or was it because younger and poorer

Does anybody have an idea why Rock Hard has become one of the most boring non-existant go-go bars in Patong. The women show no enthusiasm on the poles, never smile and subsequently its never busy anymore. The majority would say that A Go-Go is a dying trade now the sensors have spoilt the fun but Dragon still seems to be keeping the punters rolling in..

I actually liked the 20 (30?) year music in Rock Hard but found the girls too full of themselves and not particularly interesting. That's why I haven't been in for 18 months. Worst starfish shag I ever had was from in there as well. It's definitely off my list.

Just to take the p1ss some more...

Only a year ago Rock Hard were charging 1800 Baht for a bottle of jack D inc mixers, which IMO is good value and convenient if you intend to stay there a long time...... now they are charging 2500 Baht for the same deal, inflation that high ? I dont think so.... sorry but the management there couldn't run a feckin bath !!!

I think it is mostly because the owner Larry is out of town more than he is in town. Dragon is #1 in Patong now... I never thought I would say those words, but it is just too damn true..

No thanks !, It doesnt take a genious to plan a proper GoGo bar, for starters if your going to do things right, you start buy contributing to thailands finest, "the police" after that you can start proper planning, good lookin girls, topless dance sets, wet Tshirt contest, titty tequila shots, VIP bj's in the back room etc., etc., it a ****ing no brainer ! IT ALL STARTS WITH PAYING THE POLICE ! But that may be difficult if the local police think your a total ass and wont have anything to do with you ! I heard dance music at rock hard.

Was in late, there was a new DJ. Playing some newer dance and newer rock/hip-hoip like the Lincoln Park w/ J-Z stuff. Can't tell you yet how it effected the girls yet as almost all of them were off as I was in there late. Good to see them trying something new.

went to rock hard a couple of times in last few weeks .......imo...not the best, the girls just go through the motions on the seforum.xxxe, the music is crap and the drinks are expensive.....the owner should get himself to a few of the best go-go's in Patts to see how it should be done.....

Oh they play hip hop too, Larry loves his hip hop, but training a Thai DJ to do what you want is also another of the wonderful problems. Theres loads of music i gave to RH that never gets played once i leave town, theres a whole Hed Kandi back catalogue in there as well as a load of Ibiza type things, since they now use an mp3 system, means dj's are lazy compared to the days when you could pick cd's out which customers used to do alot of.
