I was planning a trip there, but something always spoiled the trip but I can't complain about it now. Not shocked by the bust, once they started it, they were on borrowed time. Don't see how they can charge all the girls if only a few were involved with the UC's.

Very true ray, I forgot how long they been closing them down. Xstreams was regular stop for me, but after the bust started on 61, I knew it was a matter of time till they got popped.

I do not think its election year activity.

In Berks county, this began in the spring of 2009, almost 18 months ago,
and one by one, they went after every AMP and MP, starting with
Harmony/Osaka, then Silver (Shillington), then every new one that opened and each and every pre-existing one. If one reopens, they close it again.

It crosses townships, police departments, US Immigration (ICE) is sometimes involved and of course with the Western MPs is not involved.
Sometimes state police are involved and other times they are not.

In my opinion, it is the concerted action of one individual at the Berks county level. Could it be a woman? Some official really has a grudge against this activity (someones husband got caught? or left with an AMP girl?)

So far the enforcement has not crossed Berks county borders.

The courts have allowed police to partake in sex acts, this is why they normally used unmarried officers for these sort of busts.

I'm not sure of the local races here in Berks - but we're nearing election time. LE always steps up enforcement in the months before elections to aid some politicians posture. IMHO

I agree considering I live just outside Reading.....the police have a lot more things they can do with their time....I know as a massage therapist myself, I am now scared to do my sensual massages and stopped because there seems to be a witch hunt taking place. It's a shame...Xstreams doesnt have any "neighbors" to speak of, so that excuse from LE is getting old around here. Either someone has a vendetta against the spas or there is mad jealousy amongst people. I think its harmless and as long as everyone is safe and respectful, this is one area LE and the government should stay out of and mind their own business. Just two cents from a female

Awe! this so figures! After a decent amount of positive reviews of this place, I was thinking about checking it out... and then this.... I totally agree with another post. LE in Reading has ALOT of other things they need to be concerned about than wasting the tax player money on busting places like this...

I've been to Xstreams a number of times over the years, had many excellent massage and R&T sessions but never anything more. I never pushed the issue, so maybe that's why, plus I was not enough of a regular to be known by any of the girls. As I recall, some of the girls even volunteered the caveat that "we don't do anything more than massage here," etc.

So, my question is: Did anyone ever get more that R&T service at Xstreams? I suppose it's a delicate question since they just got busted, but I'm curious.

Also, what constitutes prostitution in the eyes of LE? Does HJ service fall in that category?

Finally, I can think of only one MP in Berks County that hasn't been busted in the last couple of years. Bummer.

Very few neighbors in this location. LE always says the same thing in these reports. They must have to say they got complaints from neighbors to satisfy some part of the law then they can begin thier months long investigation. Only 3 girls got arrested cause the other one probably never had a session with undercover, maybe a new girl. I highly doubt anything other than rub and tug was going on here as they have peepholes to check on the girls as they give massage. Peepholes are used by management and other girls frequently to keep everyone to R&T only. LE must consider R&T a sex act or acts of prostitution. The surveillance system was only used at the greeting area mainly to see which session card was picked so girls couldn't do longer sessions than what was originally paid for. System was also used to check the time you came in and left. I always thought this location was about as good as it gets for not being seen unless you went during the daytime as it is right on route 61. But there is a tall wooden fence to park behind and people driving by could only see you for a couple of seconds on the walk from your car to the front door. If you click on the picture of the building in the article you will see pics of the girls that were arrested. I doubt there was any human trafficking going on here either. I agree with other comments, was this investigation really worth the time and money. I think not.

moonpup, I was thinking the exact same thing: WHAT NEIGHBORS? I can't think of any neighbors to this place off the top of my head. The photo in the article accurately shows how it sits alone there by that corner. I think there's an auto repair or used car lot up at the next light a half mile up. The other side of Rt. 61 might have some residences up that street after the stop sign - I'm not sure. Any residents likely have lived in that rural area for decades and unlikely had a recent revelation to make complaints.

As to the legality of a multi-visit "investigation" for LE to "get off," I believe it's legal but immoral. As such, some judges in Pennsylvania have dismissed such cases as disgusting, against public policy, and shocking the conscience. There was an AMP case up in the Lehigh-Northampton County area a couple years ago where the judge dismissed a vigorous prosecution where LE admitted either sending in an informant to get off numerous times or they themselves were undercover and did so. I think we discussed it elsewhere on this board.

Too bad about the raid there. I have fond memories of this place. One of the few Penna. mp's regularly to have hot Latinas.

This isn't an AMP - the women are probably U. S. citizens.

This place is on a highway and there aren't any real neighbors, except other businesses. The place is not directly next to any other buildings.

do they even have neighbors ?

what cop visits these places and does he get paid to solicit
isn't that illegal
