Risk is a factor almost everywhere. But in MP we all operate undercover & der are cops in this forum as well I have been informed. But v difficult to track people under hidden identities as the server of MP is not in India. It is an intenational site with the server being abroad.

Even i was the part of the SLACK group.
SLACK does provides encryption services you can read in their website
The only issue was that only 1000msgs were allowed after that there is need to clear the messages.
Speed did the great job in handling the group

the answer to the question wheather its illegal or not is
its legal
but we all belong to good family backgroud
LE can call ur family and inform them about deed
or say they will inform (blackmail u)
which we dnt want it to happen

where as if u caught with some SP or at his place they can prosecute u

inshort - avoid
if caught - be firm and confidence and use ur resources sourcefully
