I don't think that should be said, even in jest. This is not the Bali bombers we are talking about here. Just a girl ripping off guys.

She deserves to suffer a bit for her misdeeds, but I do believe her karma will catch up with her, and, in the course of a lifetime, all things even out.

Or to quote a well-known Thai expression, "Tham dii, dai dii, tham chua, dai chua." That is sort of the Thai equivalent of the American expression, "What goes around, comes around." And that is the way life works, IMHO.

On the subject of Karma. Have you considered this event could have happened because of YOUR bad Karma?

You clearly DO want revenge although you claim the opposite.
That perpetuates your bad Karma.

From my limited understanding of the laws of Karma if anything bad does happen to her it won't have been arranged by you; it will just 'happen'. If you arrange it as you are attempting to do 'in the real world' YOU will get another dose of bad Karma.

Your Bad Karma started BEFORE you met this girl. Get it?

Aside from the Karma aspect the b*tch ripped you off!

When it was all happening I was not in the mood to go to jail. This is not an alleged incident!! It all happened in and around Karon Circle. The cop that came to my room had a police jacket on with out a name. The cop who was in the front seat seem to be the head cop, younger cop and I never saw his name on his jacket and I looked and asked for his name. I spoke to both of them and said I never hurt this girl...they never replied. When they said come to the cop shop I guess were headed to the place down the road from the Movenpik Hotle in Karon..as we drove their they stopped long before we got to the cop shop, pulled over the police truck and said " give the girl 10000bht and police will go away, after giving her 10000 bht they took me back to my hotel,we never went to the cop shop... i headed to my room thinking it was all over, the girl comes back with the driver/coop and said give her 50000 bhat and we go away...I got more freaked out and protested the whole thing and then they said come with us now we arrest you, they took my photo...I said wait..take me to the atm at Karon Circle and I managed to get another 20000 bhat out. the marks did not look just like scratch's but like where she rub hard on her for arm, very read but not bloody. Remember I was very freaked out about possible arrest in a Thai jail...I had a plance I HAD to be on in 36 hours or loose my job in Dubai. I believe the girl put the marks on her arm after she left my front door. It took about an hour till she returned with the cops. If I did not get on that plane it was very possible i would either loose my job or have to tell why I miss my flight and the reason of arrest would not sit well with my security firm. The bar is up from Karon Circle on the left side before the Mermaid Hotel. their are many small bars grouped together, I could find it again but did not note the name. I will never forget her face...Please remember this was all going on at about 4 in the morning...the hotel security just stood around and did nothing..all the while she is shouting and yelling at me "stupid farlang, your money will do you no good, you will never sleep now... To complain to the Hotel in the morning would have done no good...Golden Sand Inn. If any one want to give me thier phone number I would be happy to get help and advice and explain where the bar actually is....to write about it all is really too much for me....it makes it all come back..

My thoughts precisely. Im only a noob on the board, and of course the many other replies you have gotten, have been more than sufficient, but the good in me is telling me to post.

Letting Karma work its magic, means... "forget about it".
She WILL get whats coming to her eventually, without your input.

You cannot be a believer in Karma AND practice the art of revenge at the same time. It simply doesnt work. Revenge brings bad karma back and you end up going around in endless circles.

But.. of course everybody has their threshold.

Personally, in my eyes, what she did is no cause for vengeance.
If she ripped you off, then ripped off your mother, then arranged to have your brother put into hospital, all the time whilst taking money out of your savings account, now that is something that may... may be something I would be vengeful about. But a simple con??? Nope.

Total scam.. Not going into the cop shop was the clincher.. You gave in too easy on the 10k without fighting and they realised there was more where that came from..

I have had punch ups with Thais that involved as all getting into the cells for a bit.. And no one paid anyone.. Drunken bike wrecks that cost a couple 1000.. All done actually in the station and with the cops, paperwork and receipts..

Sounds like all thier Christmases at once... they just shook the money tree and the fruits fell..

I am in agreement with what you said, except for the above statement. I do believe that karma is like a scorecard that eventually evens up. If you do bad things, then the wrong you do will come back to you. So, he does not have to do anything to even the score with her. Someone else or herself will do that in good time.

However, if he were obsessed with revenge, and became mentally unhinged to the point where he actually did actively seek and obtain revenge upon her, then he would merely have become the hand of karma striking her down. This sort of thing happens. Of course, then he would get bad karma for harming her. If her bad karma resulted in him hurting her, thereby incurring bad karma, then it is almost like a disease spreading, and this does happen in the world sometimes. When this disease reaches plague proportions, that is what we call war.

Yes I can see this is the case.

Scenario 1. 'Victim' (OP) exacts revenge by getting the cabbie/BMs involved who might get hurt him/themselves perpetuating the revenge cycle that spins out of control. The ripening of the Karma. This is how wars start. Although the OP is a bit of a coward setting it up at arms length.

Scenario 2. This BG goes with Victor the Russian Muffia (sic) boss on holiday in Karon and pulls the same stunt. She and the MIB wish they hadn't. In the meantime OP has got on with his life safe in the knowledge that what goes around comes around. Karma is restored, no war is started (possibly!).

I think the principal of scenario 2 is the most healthy for anyone that says they believe in Karma and wants to remain healthy themselves and not cause problems for other innocent people.

Up Away From The Beach On The Left Side. Up From The Karon Circle. Before You Get To The Mermaid Hotel, Which Is On The Right Side, On The Left Side Is As I Recall It's The First Road That Goes Left, Many Bars Are On The North East Corner. Many Tuk-tuks And Taxi Park Here Also. Again It's These Bars Are On The Left Side Of The Road (puket Road Sp?) Usually Their Are Many Push Carts / Motor Cycle Food Stands Surrounding The Bars With Their Blue Tarps On Them. It.s Hard To See The Bar, But They Are Kind On Above The Road About A Meter With Cement Steps And Thier Is No Door. They Are All In A Row, With Other Small Bars Behind Them. About One Or Two Bars Alone You See A Large Sign That Says "tolets" Mo's Bar Is About 5 Meter Befor The Enterance Of The Tolets. On The Left. Don't Remember The Name. If You Are Sitting At The Bar Looking Out Towards The Street, Not The Main Street But The Samll Street You Will See First Another Bar And To The Right, Or North Is A What Looks Like A Bar That Has Been Close For A Long Time...i Was Sitting With My Back Towards The Tolets. The Celing Is Very High And The Whole Place Look Like It's Made For Somelse And These Small Bars Are Just Placed Thought The Bottom Floor Or This Large Cement Building....thank You....mo Was Her Name, Perhaps Sounds Like That To Me.

Last September I was crossing a road. Rat U Thit road.

It was clear, except for a guy coming along on a motorbike with a steel sidecar for vending.

I walked out to the white line. The guy on the bike swerved. Only for I jumped I would have had broken legs or worse.

He drove on and I could see him looking back, smiling.

Sounds like the road you're referring to...and if you left click on the screen and drag it left or right you can spin the picture through 90degrees and see what is on the side of the road. You might even see someone you know!
