In order to make the photoshopped photos go away by virtue of the "market," places with unaltered photos would have to be more successful. So if everybody flocked to the joint with real pix, the other places would want to emulate their success by duplicating their strategy...Sort of like how every insurance company now has to have clever, funny ads where 10 years ago insurance ads were dryer than English sausages.

I disagree. Same sort of thing was going on in Stamford. The money was tight so the mamas told all the girls to treat the guys like shit. No special favors because they didn't want one girl (and one house) making more money than everyone else and killing everyone's business. We started a boycott and they started to get new girls and change their routine (then they all got raided and it is a ghost town now). Reality is, businesses often think they are fooling people and doing the right thing for their business by being sneaky and they think that all the way to the poor house. Never underestimate a person's ability to hurt themselves, while they think they are acting in their own best interests. Prisons and bankruptcy courts are full of those types of people.

Oh and also, as far as the "they keep doing it because it works": that is another common misnomer. Often people doing something, things go wrong and then they blame something else. You can see how useless bait and switch is since as soon as some places started showing real pics those places blew the traditional b&s places out of the water. No need to make a mess of a good thing with all these photoshopped pics.

Bait and switch has been done forever because it works. This is just high tech bait and switching.

It the same thing with fake tits. I hate em and will not set up appointments with girls who have them. I could say it was driving business away, but for some reason fake tits bring in the customers, so I don't expect me being mad about it and saying it drives me away is actually going to change anything.

While I wish they wouldn't do it, I think you have to accept that it is the status quo now.

I agree with markworld Man. The one thing I DESPISE is the photoshoping of the body/art/ink/tatoos. DRIVES me crazy. Listen you dont have to show it all but let me at least know its there! Sometimes i like going down and having a Tiger on the hip looking at me or a butterfly on the ass flying in mid session. Coversely sometimes i want clean girl next door body art FREE! Please leave it up to us to decide since it is our $$+tip. THanks

Rather than a reduction in the use of photoshop, I believe the better solution for all, and a great step in the general direction of world peace, would be for the KMP girls to be manufactured to look exactly like the photos. As I understand it, these ladies are being stamped out of polyurethane, airbrushed and outfitted with sophisticated animatronics at a factory built on the site of a former sugar refinery in New Jersey. Why they can't simply improve the manufacturing process to make the girls look precisely like the altered photos is mysterious to me.

I vote for better massage-bots, not more honest photos.

There is one photographer (an ex-working lady in a KMP) that does 80% of the KMP girls' photos. Her work has become very stylized over time, and some of the blame should go to her. More than once, I've heard a girl complain that her pictures had been altered way too much. Why do they continue to use her? Same herd mentality that explains many other KMP oddities. There are a couple of other photographers (one is a male photography student - nice gig!) who tend to do less photoshopping. Some girls that have arrived fresh from LA use their beauty shots from a studio in LA, with just the face blurred out - these tend to be somewhat more accurate unless they're really old.
