Question Anyone gotten a Dr.'s prescription?

I was thinking of booking and when I get suddenly realize I forgot my letter

I did get a massage from my RMT (100% legit); they were very busy. When I expressed my surprise that so many people have prescriptions, I was told that the referring person need not be a doctor, it can be a chiropractor or a physiotherapist (which they have on site); basically any registered medical person can refer except another RMT. Very convenient if you can find a location that provides massages together with other medical services.

Recently got my massage prescription renewed. My favorite MP lost their ability to direct bill though.... I believe they were caught billing non registered sessions.

The prescription ensures that neither the RMT nor client get a fine, due to some nosy unhappy sour puss of a neighbour or a jealous competitor snitching. Armed with it, I have had several very enjoyable sessions the past 2 weeks. Best part is that there are no interruptions as everything is properly scheduled with no overlaps. Ideal for extracurricular activities. Have made a personal choice to not claim any of the receipts at this time. Definitely, an uptick in being invited for massages in private home or apartment settings too. Makes for better long term situations.

Well dogs regergitated breakfast! My neighbors a chiropractor. Wonder if a bottle of rum gets me an ongoing groin issue....

Got a prescription and immediately headed to GE for an appointment with Helen. I just recently started seeing her (having seen Lara many times before and May a couple of times there) and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I am sure I'll be seeing here again in the near future.

I saw Lara the other day. Nice lady but in my opinion she doesn’t stack up to Helen or May. I’m sure there is the ymmv factor but the chemistry wasn’t really there for me. For those that don’t know, Lara is quite a bit taller than Helen and May.

I didn't hear anything in the announcements that changed the status quo. I think you still need a prescription. (By the way. Called my Dr.; emailed me a prescription; went and saw my go-to-girl, Lois, at XP!)

With the easing of restrictions, you won't need a prescription but you will need an appointment - no waiting rooms.

Good news! my usual RMT said there will no longer be a requirement for clients to get a prescription or referral in order to access massage therapy services as of January 18, 2021.

Then we will ALL CONTINUE to have our sessions interrupted by constant door chimes, lady leaving the room to answer door, lady chatting or yelling at her coworker to organize, one handed massages, etc, etc, etc..........

It doesn't have to be that way. Amps aren't the only option. I prefer going to a home location where it actually is by appt, no external noise, silence (other than the relaxing music and our convo), complete privacy and an undisturbed enjoyable experience. Yes they do exist n a bunch of these providers have already been reviewed.
