After 15 years, quitting this hobby

Well gents, time for this old bird to fly away from this life. I’ve deleted my other message board handles and this is the last one.

After thousands of dollars spent, many experiences in holes in the walls and top of the line spas and incalls, I’m out.

I found my unicorn so to speak and we decided to ride off into the sunset together.

Some parting words if you give a damn to read it:

- every woman has their reasons, treat them like you’d want to be treated and you’ll find them to just be humans. Some have everlasting scars from this line of work, but the smart ones will go out on their own terms. You may even find someone who will pull you away from this life too.

- have fun, don’t take it too seriously.

- if you find yourself back in this world after leaving, question your motivation for life because this is a deep rabbit hole to get into and you may not come out

- I hope to never see myself back in the massage rooms ever again. Truly.

I don’t get it. Rabbit hole? Addiction? This is just another way to blow your load. 'Addiction' isn’t possible. Maybe habit forming for some but there’s no rabbit hole or addiction. I guess some personalities are just weaker than others and can’t control themselves. Meh.

I have been sober from MPs since April. It`s like any other addiction (alcohol, gambling, drugs, etc.) It takes a lot of discipline, will power, and motivation. And most importantly a network of friends to help. Don`t be afraid to still stay on the forums. I check in occasionally and am glad I did. It reminds me why I quit this life. All the best. -Jon

When I said network of friends, I am referring to a group of people you can talk to for help when the addiction cries to you. Like AA meetings. There are sex addict meetings also. And its filled with guys who want to quit hobbies like this. You go to the meetings, get their numbers and when you are tempted to go you call them and they help you through it. Yes, it might sound ridiculous at first. But the whole reason you went to the meetings is because YOU WANT TO QUIT. You just need that extra help to do it. There are people in the same boat. That`s what I was referring to.

I'm reading a book by Neil Strauss (love that guy!) called "The Truth" and he explains about his break up with his ex gf, going to swinger/orgy parties, involved in tri relationships, getting help by going to sex rehab and meeting two other guys who are married and suffering from sex addiction by visiting too many SP's in Mexico. The book is very funny but it is also somewhat sad. Felt as if I was living in Neil Strauss shoes so to speak..He reminds me so much of myself.

So all this sex addict get help talk reminds me of "The Truth"

I understand that there are sex addict meetings, but I doubt that there are meetings for hobby addicts... at least not in person.
The only hobby groups that I'm aware of are here, but we're just trading reviews and recommendations.

What I have found greatly reduces my visits? The quality of the girls. I had a favourite who was incredible but she never came back after COVID closures. I've had a few sessions over the last year but I have NOBODY that makes me try to find the time to go. I do still go but MAYBE every 3-4 months between sessions or even more of a gap. Most of the girls I have seen - well doing it myself is better than what they offer!
