Why spa ladies behave this way

I am certain this has been discussed elsewhere but couldn't readily find with search function:

1. Why are so many "coy" about other places they work. I never ask after a first visit, but after several repeats. There is often some reluctance (not always). These are after sessions that were good. No red flags. Is it for fear that the boss at current working place will find out and there will be trouble. Some of these ladies only work one day at a certain spa -- clearly not enough to sustain themselves.
2. Some ladies start to discourage frequent visits with themselves. Saying things like "more than once a week not good". Once again, these are with providers whom sessions have been good, good raport etc. Is it that they worry clients become to "attached". I thought money would usually trump this.

ahh I’ve wondered this too.

1. Often the place where they are working now, their bosses don’t want the girl stealing customers. So it’s just being polite for the current boss. Sometimes they just want different personas at different spas. I know someone who worked at a semi and a holistic spa. She doesn’t want to see customers at one place visiting at the other place.

2. I’ve hit this once - there is a bit of concern about how much I was spending. But maybe the girl gets bored at the acting as well? And it’s better for the girl to see more customers so not all their eggs are in too few baskets. Just like stock portfolios, diversification is a good thing.

Regarding your first point, it's mostly what you and Lala said already...sometimes it's because their current boss don't want the girls to tell customers where else they work, sometimes it's out of courtesy to the existing boss, sometimes the girls don't want you to know for whatever reason (e.g. they do more at the other place and are embarrassed), sometimes they rather you keep visiting them at the current place...etc.

Regarding your second point, can't say I ever experienced that but like you said, it's probably because they don't want you getting emotionally attached to them...or maybe you lucked out and are getting very high mileage from them. They can't say no now (it's too late) but they don't feel comfortable always providing those high level services.

2. It is the STRONGEST signal of potential creep/clinger because normal people do not repeat w/same girl inside of a week. It is outlier behavior + usually not in a good way.

The answer to both of the points is that the girls don't simply want more visits/more money. Instead, what those girls want is quick/simple money.

When you repeat and ask for more info like that, you're making their work more complicated and they might simply not want it. They just want to massage/service => more money. Maybe they don't even want to spend the brain power to remember who you are.

Have never repeated within a week. I am time poor more than money poor. However, had a chat with one lady who complained one of her regulars visited twice per week. I would have thought finances trump all else. I get it though...
Curious though... If someone had a great session with a new provider...is it really that weird to come back and see her later in the week?

1. I've also assumed that it is because they don't want the boss to find out that they are promoting other places.
2. I have visited someone three days in a row once - didn't want to wait to find out what kind of mileage I could get with repeats, they were just surprise to see me, but didn't mention anything. On the other hand, had someone ask me to atleast visit them every two weeks

1. Lot’s of ladies are doing this as their full-time job and are working 5 and even 6 days a week. But, a spa wants to show they have lot’s of girls/variety and need to divvy up the shifts. So, some girls can’t get all 5 or 6 shifts at the same spa. So, they need to find shifts elsewhere. Sometimes it’s respecting the current boss but it could also be out of loyalty to an old boss that got them started and they go back for a shift or two. Aside from respecting the boss, some spas might offer more or less service. That doesn’t necessarily mean the attendant is offering more or less service at the other spa, but clients might get that idea and they don’t want that know they are also at a higher mileage spa.
2. Sounds like Amber @ SL is saying don’t see me too much to someone specifically . Seriously, this is a job and most aren’t looking for a white knight to come save them or a relationship. Seeing them too often can start to cross an emotional line. These women are protective of their privacy too. There are escalating grades of attachment but it can get to be an emotional mindfield and even get into stalker territory (or worse) if a Regular or Special client’s frequency of visits gets too frequent to the point where the client forgets that there is no “emotional relationship”.

Good dialogue for sure. On the flip side there are the ladies who get "angry" if you have not seen them for quite some time. Some seem to have amazing memories lol.... "it's been six months.... so what/who have you been doing during that time" was one recent response.

I’ve got that many times. Sometimes, it’s “I’ve been busy” and sometimes one or both of us changed their schedule and it didn’t align. Or, she disappeared and then showed up at a different spa under a new name. If she didn’t give me her number, how do I know?

Prior to Covid I was exclusively a bodyrub spa guy. Like most guys, given my work schedule, I could only go on weeknights and some weekends. I had some favourites that worked these schedules then suddenly they changed to weekdays only. Then once they decided to do a special weeknight or weekend and I got an appointment I heard the “why you not visit me”, and I tell them their schedule doesn’t work for me anymore. The last thing the want to hear is, “I got tired of you”, or “I found someone better”.

But seriously, you just have to be realistic when you deal with women.

It's not that they're "evil" and out to just scam you personally or anything, it's more they don't even care about you that much one way or another. She's just making her money from the spa business, you're just a customer to her.
