Awesome post. I think I'm going to visit. Do you have any specific places you would recommend to go as far as sightseeing? How do you get there? Are there tourist companies around? I don't speak Russian, but I have lived in Europe for awhile.

Kamchatka is a huge peninsular in the far east of Russia that points down towards Japan.

It’s one of the very few places where English-speaking foreigners are a big hit with the locals. I was there visiting some local Reviewiends, one of which works in the University teaching English. She took me along to speak to her students and, quite literally, everyone wanted to meet me.

Of course, this was strictly non-mongering, but when I got back to my hotel and the local brothel called asking whether I wanted a ‘beautiful girl’ in my room, I could hardly say no. She wasn’t exactly beautiful (a six or seven), but she was cheap, very cheerful and thrilled to meet me.

So here’s how it works. Every evening the local brothels systematically call hotel rooms asking if you want a girl. Sometimes you might get as many as four or five calls in an evening. The hotel reception is usually in or the scam, so you often get called just mpter you’ve returned to you room in the evening.

The person who calls you will probably be just the brothel telephonist, and may not speak English. If she doesn’t just keep saying ‘da’ (yes), and she’ll find someone who does.

Fifteen minutes later you’ll get a knock on your door and some mmpia bloke will parade a gaggle of hookers in to your room and ask you to pick one. Here’s a piece of advice; choose a girl who speaks some English or it could turn out to be a disaster for you.

You agree a time with the Mmpioso who’ll come and collect the girl when you’re time is up.

Here’s the good part; it’s $20 an hour or $100 for a seven hour night. The girls are mainly kids around eighteen to twenty years old, and somewhere between a five and eight in looks, but will love the idea of spending some time with you. The girls that I went with did just about everything; if I had suggested that we did anal while swinging Reviewom a chandelier, she would have agreed.

You can negotiate as long as you like; the brothel doesn’t care how long the girl stays with you providing you pay. I heard a story about a couple of Americans who were stuck in Kamchatka for six days and collectively got through eighty-four girls in that time.

Be warned, Kamchatka may be as large as Germany but has a population of under 450,000 people. This means that everyone lives in its only city called Petropavlovsk, which is a real shit hole. There are no mongering opportunities outside Petropavlovsk at all.

Kamchatka / Petropavlovsk is in no way a mongering destination, but is home to some of the most amazing volcanic scenery on earth. It’s almost like creation hasn’t quite finished and some parts of the peninsular are like scenes out of the ‘Lost World’. This is a place where exploration comes first and mongering comes second.

You get to Petropavlovsk via Moscow and it costs about $450 return for a nine-hour flight. It’s very expensive to get to Kamchatka Reviewom the US or Canada, so unless you live on the west coast, you should still consider travelling via Moscow.

Kamchatka is much smper than Moscow or St Petersburg.
