Physically, HK has changed dramatically. However, as far as your concerns go, it really hasn't changed that much. You'll feel right at home, just in a much larger and louder (if you can believe it) place.

Karla's is across the alley from Hong Kong. It is mostly a locals place, but I was in there with a couple of my "white bread" amigos last night. If you like to dance, it is a fun place. The clients there seem friendly enough...often offering me beer, etc. I bought a tube of beer for 90 pesos last night...It was 67 ounces.

I've always liked HK as a low rent strip club where I could get my finger wet for a dollar . I haven't been there in two years and I'm going back in July. I hope it hasn't changed too much. I will get a lap dance or two just because I like that type of thing. I will go elsewhere to get a girl to go upstairs.

There is nothing really special about a sash girl. I don't think they are better or worst looking than the other girls. I just think Hong Kong is trying to figure out how to make more money of these girls than having cheap mongers buying some of these girls one drink taking them upstairs to have sex it, and then go home.

The bar makes no money off guys that take the girls to the hotel. They only make money if they sell the drinks. I bet the bars vision is many of the customers will pay $40 plus dollars to buy a bucket of beer for the girls and sit with them in the small tiny rooms. I even heard the other night HK was advertising $11 dollar lap dances.

I was telling one of my favorite waiters yesterday that Hong Kong is turning into a gringo bar, with the push for not only drinks but buckets, lap dances, and now chips. He agreed and laughed about the chip they now have to push on customers.

But with that said, I was in Hong Kong last night, and they had plenty of hot girls in all variety of shapes and looks. I just loved the outfits some of these girls were dressed up in, and the music in the bar. You just can't beat Hong Kong, as I think it's one of the best bars around.

It's doubtful Hong Kong chica will ever be able to command over $100 dollars to take them upstairs, especially not with so many bars nearby still offering $60 dollars or 600 pesos for half an hour. Hong Kong girls will still be lucky to get $80 dollars, and that includes the Sash girls, who I understand are starting to go upstairs more and more.

I was partying heavy on Monday night and got suckered into going in....had an ok time and met some cool people. It was early enough in the morning that the meseros seemed to be relaxed and not so much hustle....did see them dancing on the bar to The Village People's Y M C A....could have done without that.

Saw a chica I had not seen in about 5 or 6 years...and that was cool.

Ended up in Karla's which is more my pace.

Those girls consider themselves "Promotoras", and boy you guys are really bumping into dynamics of high class clubs of central Mexico way beyond your grasp.

Those kind of girls quote HIGH, not just a couple of dollars, those girls are truely the ones I posted a while ago that do not consider themselves as ho's.

First of all they don't collect cash, they accept gifts.
And you must work hard the get their attention.
These girls must be on the neighborhood of 2000-3000 pesos just to jump start their attention.

Have any of you asked at the HK how to get to the heart of one of these girls?
There must be a way, an expensive way to get to them.

Entered this thread to post something that may not be known. Huge billboard appeared at the border fence road yesterday for 1st time. HK has been a regular advertiser on this board but now they have a website. Not much when I tuned in but here it is if there is an interest ;

Isra, please, though I agree that you must tip to maximize fun and minimize irritations, you must get it through your head that you are not in a regular normal run of the mill city if Mexico.

Drug Violence aside, if you go to a city like Guadalajara or Mexico City or one of the state capitals of the country, you will not be hassel by service providers of any kind seeking tips.
(Beach and other tourist points not included cause in some cases any one is hassled for a tip there)

It just the other way around, you are visiting a part of the dark side of Mexico that demands tips cause they are paid zero by the owners of clubs, hotels and bars.

And I dare say, even in your own US of A a customer is hassled by anyone that offers a personal service and demands a tip (hair groomers, pet keepers, waiters demanding 20% tip), people that we never ever consider here in Mexico tipping as high as you do in your country
And beware if you don't tip them, cause no one knows what will happen to you when if you return for your services.

So guys, stop complaining, cause people asking for tips will not go away ever at TJ.
If you don't like it, stay home.

Poohce, I quite understand your feelings about the HK Club but you should see the suggestions made by others as good tips to maximize your fun and minimize your irritations instead of as rationalizations for bad behavior.
In any third world country gringos are perceived as rich and in the zone where they depend on your tips to survive they are more blatant about going after your hard earned dollars.
We all go to TJ for the comparatively cheap sex and strip club fun so lighten up and expect a few trifling extras. Ofcourse I do not suggest or condone out and out ripoffs but look for the fun parts and keep petty irritations down to the minimum.
This sort of philosophy works for me and makes my trips enjoyable. Hope it does the same for you too.

Don't believe the Hype. On this discussion board in the past, everyone made Hong Kong sound like the next Cummming, and it's clear it is not all DAT.

I found it quite interesting the solutions some of you arrived at from being ripped off.
-Carry more dollars so it's not as annoying.(My Favorite)(GeeZzz,Luweezz pull my panties down and call me sally)
- Rationalize that a cover keeps out the lookie Lous (in a strip club! were all lookie lous unless some of U on the board are actually women and performers)
- I love the Doctor Leekie (Cultural Anthropologist approach to the sash girls rip off) - U know these women come in from other places where it is not the cultural norm to place currency in the undergarments of women who r taking their clothing off in a professional manner. (Pleasssssssssse)
- I would rather be ripped off by someone who is not going to fuck me than go with an ICE Queen at Adelitas who will. (DAAAAAAAaah maybe one of the girls from HK will marry me so they have a valid reason for not giving me sex)

I agree HK is a good and contrary to popular notion, is cheaper by the hour to spend time there. Because in LC and Tropical type Bars there is no other time pass. And if you sit with a girl, you are the one getting screwed on fichas !

samson, you are correct on both counts, but it's the principle of being charged for nothing. the cover charge, they give you a beer, so whatever, but a dollar to give her back her own robe, seems silly. maybe the door man should say that you are RENTING the robe, but hey it is just a buck.

As much as I hate Hong Kong the weekend cover is a smart move on their part. The place is too crowded anyway, and it keeps the cheap lookie lou's out of there.

The dollar robe seems to be a sore point for many. I think many guys waste too much time worrying about that.

Wow that does suck about the mandatory cover, I have been to Hong Kong like about six times this year, my friends and me had a blast there.

Yes the girls actually do make alot of their money from being bought drinks and shows. I have become good friends actually with a couple of them who work there since I speak the language it really helps so heres some basic inside advice.

They can choose who they go upstairs with if they choose to do so. What I really like about HK is the fact that its a no hassle enviroment, in other words unlike Adelitas you are not being preesured to go upstairs. I personally hate that, sometimes I just want to listen to the music and enjoy looking at the chicas. I have never had a girl not let me play with her when I give them a dollar. Never give them more than that if their dancing if one rejects you move on the times I have been there and thats during the day selection has not been a problem and there are plenty of chicas who will go upstairs but be sure to have a good demeaner because like I stated if you look drunk or arent dressed well or worse yet LOL since I have seen this dont smell inviting LMAO then forget it.

There will be those that are stuck one of my favorites if you guys see her she has short jet black hair, nice eyes great body I will get her nickname next time I go down she is really nice.

I find HK the place to go, its an inviting enviroment loud yes. But again watch your money, if you do sit with a chica remember the meseros will hound you if her drink is empty and wow can it add up so make your move sooner rather than later, negotiation and what we call verbo is key.

I like sitting in the center seforum.xxxe watching the chicas and putting a dollar in their thong as the time goes buy sipping drink while I'm at it. Remeber times are tough and they know this so understand they do want your business just make sure to follow some of this advice. But obviously if your intention is to go straight upstairs HK has great chicas but they are not in a hurry to do so and like I said are not required too.

Fireballs please stop being an apologist for this place. People go into AB and CC and never buy anything but you don't see them putting up buy a beer to get in or $1 robe fee. Thats just bulllllllllllllll. Its the little things that make or spoil an experience.

I think going to the Zone one should be generous, going where they disrespect you is just stupid.
